LockDown Blanket

A mitered square blanket with pom poms. This is an addictive project, one that can be picked up and put down as your time demands. It was created in Lock down, hence the name . You can make it as big or as small as you like. 

I've made this one with 80 squares.

The pattern introduces you to the technique of the mitred sqaure and how to work it without any seaming. You can then create your own design or follow my bordered design. 

Dimensions:  80cm x 100cm

You'll need:

Pair of 4mm straight needles, tapestry needle and a stitch marker

Approx 640g of DK Yarn, if working the Lockdown blanket you'll need approx 320g of each colour.

Tension/Gauge  

Although not at all critical for this project, use the appropriate needle size for your chosen yarn, your proportions will of course differ from mine

21sts x 40rows in garter stitch over  10cm x 10cm ( 4in x 4in) using  4mm needles
