Savannah Snood Knitting Pattern

A draw cord snood

Ability: Beginners  
Skills Required: This is a beginners’ project and you should know how to work in basic stocking stitch on either circular or straight needles and be able to make simple button holes.
Yarn Type: Rowan Purelife Sheepbreeds Boucle
Yarn Shade: We used Blue faced Leicester  
Yarn Weight: Chunky / bulky

Sizes to Fit:

One Size  
Height 28cm / 11in
Knitted measurements approx: width 28cm / 11in, circumference 82cm / 32½in
You will need: For snood (one size) = 2 balls/skeins

*100g (approx 60m / 66yds) .

Yarn amounts are based on average requirements and are approximate. You may wish to order an extra ball/skein to be sure you have sufficient yarn.

Materials Required:

You will need:
One 8mm (US 11) 40cm (15¾in) circular or pair of straight needles
Two 8mm (US 11) double pointed needles
Tapestry needle for sewing
Stitch marker.

Tension: 

8.5 sts x 13 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) in st st using 8mm (US 11) needles.
